Swat| Fahad Saeed | On the occasion of Wali Swat’s death anniversary, the Government of Pakistan issued a commemorative stamp to honour him. The commemorative ticket was issued after the approval of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The notification was made by the Director-General of Pakistan Post Islamabad. On the orders of the Governor of Swat, Mian Gul Abdul Haq Jahanzeb, the State of Swat from time to time provided financial assistance to the Government of Pakistan as well as military assistance in the wars with India. The state of Swat also assisted the government of Pakistan in purchasing the then-modern warship Fury, which was later renamed as Jahanzeb. The Government of Pakistan has issued a commemorative stamp of Rs. 20 on the occasion of the 33rd death anniversary of Mian Gul Abdul Haq Jahanzeb Wali e Swat, the last ruler of the former Swat State. The commemorative stamp will be available for sale in all major post offices of the country from September 14, 2020.
